UTS United for Central Vietnam: A Heartfelt Journey by the UTS Community

In the days when Central Vietnam was struggling in the aftermath of a historic flood, the UTS community came together to ignite a spirit of sharing through an urgent donation campaign in support of O Loan Commune in Dak Lak Province. From the heartfelt contributions of parents, students, and teachers to the generosity of benefactors, each gift of love was personally delivered to local residents and students at the heart of the flooded area. This journey not only provided timely support but also planted meaningful lessons in compassion and social responsibility in every member of the UTS community.

Immediately after information about the severe flooding in Central Vietnam was released, the School launched an urgent donation campaign to support the residents of O Loan Commune, one of the areas most heavily affected and officially placed under an emergency status by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee.

The donation appeal quickly received strong and enthusiastic support from parents, students, teachers, staff, and many compassionate individuals who have accompanied UTS over the years.

Sharing Through Giving: Every Contribution Extends a Helping Hand

Within a short period of time, the campaign received a large amount of both monetary and in kind donations. From clothing and blankets to notebooks and daily necessities, each item reflected heartfelt care and sincere sharing for communities affected by the floods.

This was not merely a charitable activity, but also a profound hands on lesson in empathy and community responsibility for UTS students. Through the campaign, more than four tons of relief supplies were delivered directly to flood affected residents, including two point five tons of clothing and blankets, one point five tons of essential goods, along with six thousand seven hundred notebooks and over three thousand five hundred learning supplies. These concrete figures clearly demonstrate the scale and practical significance of the program, while helping students deeply understand the value of sharing and taking action for the community.

A Journey of Care to O Loan Commune

On December 8, representatives of the School Leadership Board, staff, and parents were present in O Loan Commune to personally deliver practical support packages. The delegation visited the O Loan Commune Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, An Cu Primary School, and An Cu Kindergarten, conveying heartfelt greetings and sincere care from the UTS community.

Beyond providing material assistance, the journey also carried words of encouragement and emotional support, with hopes that local residents will soon stabilize their lives and that children can safely and fully return to school.

Our school sincerely thanks all parents, students, teachers, staff, and benefactors whose collective efforts created a meaningful impact throughout this campaign. Every contribution, whether large or small, helped bring hope and positive energy to flood-affected communities.

In response to the severe flooding at the end of 2025, which caused significant damage to many families and schools in Central Vietnam, UTS International School launched the Central Vietnam Relief Donation Campaign. The initiative quickly received strong participation from students, parents, teachers, and staff, together spreading a spirit of compassion and social responsibility. The campaign aimed to mobilize essential resources to support affected localities in restoring stability after the disaster, while also helping to maintain a safe educational environment for students.
